TikTok QR code generator

Type your TikTok username, or paste the link to a video, and download a standard QR code that any phone camera can read. It opens TikTok if the app is installed, or the web page if not.

Higher levels survive damage and logos but make the code denser.

Your image stays on your device. Adding a logo switches error correction to High.

How to make a TikTok QR code

  1. Type your username or paste a video link

TikTok is already selected. Type your username, like @yourname, or paste a video's share link.

  2. Style it if you like

Open Colors, size and logo to add your logo or brand colour. Keep the code dark on a light background.

  3. Scan, then download

Check the code opens the right profile or video, then download SVG for print or PNG for screens.

Profile code or video code?

  • Profile: type your username, like @yourname. The code opens tiktok.com/@yourname, your profile with all your videos. This is the safe default for packaging, shop windows and business cards, because it stays useful as you post.
  • One video: tap Share on the video, then Copy link, and paste it. Good for a product demo on its box, a recipe on a menu, or a trailer on a poster. If the video is deleted or made private, the code leads nowhere.

The field accepts both. Anything with a slash in it is treated as a link and used exactly as you pasted it.

TikTok’s own code vs a standard code

TikTok’s in-app code is handy for sharing in person: open it, show your screen, done. For anything printed, a standard code has a few advantages:

  • You choose the size and file. Download SVG for print, which stays sharp at any size, or PNG at up to 4096 pixels.
  • It can open a single video, not just your profile.
  • It matches your other codes. The same generator makes Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X and LinkedIn codes in the same style.
  • It is made for every camera. A standard black and white code is what phone cameras are built to read.

Where a TikTok code works

  • Product packaging and swing tags, opening the video that shows the product in use.
  • Shop counters and windows: “Follow us for new drops.”
  • Event stages and screens, between acts or at the end of a set.
  • Business cards and merch, for creators.
  • Restaurant tables, opening the video of the dish being made.

Always add a line saying what the code does. “Watch how it’s made” gets more scans than a bare code.

Make it scan every time

  • Dark code on a light background. A light code on black fails on many phones.
  • Leave the white border around the code. Do not crop it.
  • If you add a logo, the generator raises error correction to High so the code still reads. The logo guide explains how big a logo can be.
  • A profile link is about 33 characters, which makes a code 29 squares across. A video link is longer and makes a code of about 33 squares, so print video codes a little bigger.

A link copied from the TikTok app sometimes has extra tracking text after a ?. It still works, but it makes the code denser. You can usually delete everything from the ? onwards and the link still opens the same video. Test it in your browser first.

If TikTok gives you a short vm.tiktok.com link, that works too: it forwards to the full video address. It is TikTok’s own short link, so it keeps working as long as the video does.

For a profile, typing the username is cleanest. The generator removes the @ if you type it and builds the profile address for you.

Before you print

Scan the code with an iPhone and an Android phone, with and without TikTok installed if you can. Check it opens the right account, and that the video is public. Print it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide for close range, and much bigger for posters; the size guide has a chart. The code is static, so it never expires and does not depend on our site.

Questions people ask

Doesn't TikTok already have a QR code?

Yes. The app can show a code for your profile, made to be shared and scanned inside TikTok. You cannot choose its size or file type, and it only covers your profile. A code from here works for any TikTok link and downloads as SVG, PNG or JPG for print.

Can I make a QR code for one TikTok video?

Yes. In TikTok, tap Share on the video, then Copy link, and paste it into the second field. The code opens that video.

Will the code break if I change my username?

Yes. A profile code holds a link with your username in it. If you change the username, the old link stops finding you, so make the code after you settle on a name.

Why does the code open the website instead of the app?

That happens when TikTok is not installed, or the phone is set to open links in the browser. The page still shows the profile or video, with a button to open the app.

Does the code expire?

No. It holds the TikTok link itself, with no redirect in between, so it works as long as the account or video exists.

Can people scan it from a screen?

Yes. A code on a TV, slide or another phone scans fine if it is big enough and the screen is bright. For livestreams, keep it on screen for several seconds.
